In West Las Vegas, two 11-year-old boys have been charged with animal cruelty for allegedly killing 6 newborn kittens.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the two juveniles were suspected of throwing rocks at a cat that was giving birth.  Police said a resident heard the sound of glass breaking at an apartment building nearby.  Witnesses also say they saw the two boys throwing rocks at the building.

Police said the rocks were being thrown at a cat giving birth, which lead to the death of the kittens. After an investigation by Metro’s Enterprise Area Command Problem Solving Unit, the two boys were arrested.

The boys were booked into Clark County Juvenile Hall, where they each face 7 counts of animal cruelty.
