Las Vegas wants to reward you for your safe driving habits, sort of. Some of the Las Vegas 51’s Triple A baseball team will be riding around with LVPD to reward safe drivers with tickets to a 51’s game, but there is a catch. In order to pull you over, a violation must occur, so you’ll be getting a ticket for a driving violation, and a ticket to a 51’s game based on something good that you are doing as well, like wearing a seat belt, or having a designated driver.
This program is an effort to combat the growing number of fatalities we’ve had on Las Vegas streets so far this year. If Las Vegas continues to have this many deaths, it will be the deadliest year since 2006.
This is a way to make sure people are following the street laws, but also give them a reward for the positive habits they have as well.
