Henderson police said they weren’t fooling around when they dished 400 driving citations in March, and the police department said on Monday it won’t be fooled with its enforcement set to begin April 1.
According to Henderson PD, enforcement efforts are slated to launch targeting drivers who commit behind-the-wheel offenses at intersections.
Police warn plain-clothes officers will watch over busy intersections and radio uniformed officers to pull the drivers over.
The enforcement period is scheduled to go on for three weeks.
Henderson PD said red-light runners, those who follow too closely, aggressive and distracted drivers, among many, will be pulled over.
In addition to the driving citations in March, police reported another 230 tickets were issued for drivers talking on cell phones.
The enforcement is made possible through a grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.
