A stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard is set to close this weekend as part of a paving and road improvement project.
The city of Las Vegas said the closure, which is set to begin Friday at 8 p.m., stretches from Garces Avenue through Clark Avenue in downtown.
According to the city, the removal and replacement of asphalt at three intersections in that stretch will force the closure through 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30.
The city noted southbound traffic will be detoured at Bridger Avenue to Main Street or Maryland Parkway. Northbound traffic is expected to be routed to Fourth Street at Charleston Boulevard. Gass Avenue will also be accessible.
The city said the road work serves two projects, including one that will extend one-way access on Bonneville and Clark avenues from First Street to Maryland Parkway.
