Drivers need to be aware of road closures this week as the Mint 400 gets underway.
Closures in the Fremont East area will be in place from Thursday, March 21, beginning at noon through Friday, March 22, ending at 10:30 p.m.
– Fremont, between Las Vegas Boulevard and 10th Street
– Stewart, from 8th Street to Las Vegas Boulevard (will reopen overnight)
– Mesquite, from 6th to 8th
– 6th Street from Mesquite to Ogden; from Ogden to Carson
– 7th Street from Mesquite to Ogden; from Ogden to Carson
– 8th Street from Ogden to Carson
– 9th Street from Ogden to Carson
– One lane closure on Las Vegas Boulevard, from Carson to Ogden, only northbound
An estimated 3,000 attendees are expected to take part in the festivities.
